I’m Jacent a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist and Wealth and Wellness Coach. I'm an award winning podcast host and self published author born in Uganda but living in Las Vegas, Nevada. After getting divorced and losing my father months later I found myself in a mountain of debt.
I didn’t grow up learning much about money but I was able to pay off over $94,000 in student loans and credit cards in 3 years before I turned 30. It was on that journey I realized the connection between mental health and money.
As the founder of Wamala Wellness LLC we are educating, encouraging & empowering WOC to transform their money mindset and create financial freedom faster. We have helped hundreds of professional women of color all over the world manage their money better, pay down debt, save thousands & most importantly create peaceful prosperous lives so they can use money to create an impact in the world.
With over 60% of Black adults reporting they have no emergency fund and the average American holding a debt balance of over $96,000, Black Americans typically experience higher levels of economic insecurity than Americans overall and we want to change that.
